El Cortez has announced that they will be unveiling a memorial to gaming legend Jackie Gaughan, who passed away in March. The memorial will be unveiled in a ceremony at Jackie's Club Cortez on Tuesday June 17th at 11am.

El Cortez Hotel & Casino and the Museum of Gaming History will honor downtown gaming legend Jackie Gaughan with the unveiling of a memorial exhibit. The display, titled "Jackie Gaughan's Downtown as seen through Gaming Memorabilia," will give onlookers the chance to experience the history of downtown with the inclusion of actual gaming artifacts used at properties Gaughan owned or had interest in.

Memorabilia includes casino chips, tokens, dice, cards, shot glasses and more from the nine properties affiliated with Gaughan including the El Cortez, Las Vegas Club, Gold Spike among others. Photographs, montages and video will also play a role in the memorial.

Can't wait.
