Check out this incredible video shot from a drone flying over the center strip Las Vegas, being controlled from a terrace suite at Cosmopolitan.

Peekaboo: the staff of the drones:

Amazing!

Thanks Mac78130 for the tweet tip!

Those were amazing shots. A part of me, though, really wanted to see that drone get taken out by one of Bellagio's water cannons.

I'll have to remember this next time I'm thinking about having nakey time on the terrace!

How long before we start to see "anti-drone" netting or some other kind of defense over all of the topless pools?
And then they'll be using the drone to see if someone has left their hotel room curtains open.
It will be a new category of porn called Drone Voyeur vids.

Even though multiple fucking neckbeards are involved...I want my GoPro in the anus of of one of these for this very purpose.

@BillDonovan

You're probably right about the nefarious drone use. Porn (and, to a lesser extent, platonic exploration like the original video) has always been at the forefront of technological innovation. As for any invasions of privacy, let me paraphrase Oceans 11: We of all people should know ... there's always someone watching.

That's impressive and yes, it would have been cool to see the drone hit with a water spurt

@kayday, just remember the sunglasses and baseball cap. Instant anonymity!

If drones become a big problem @BillDonovan, can jamming devices be far behind? Although I guess you probably don't want one of these things dropping out of the sky on your guests. I read where drones have been banned at national parks, or at least some of them, so more likely we'll see city ordinances banning them.

I think it's only a matter of time before drones are outlawed. Until then, I always wondered what was in the Bellagio bell tower (nothing) and the overhead shot of the water canons was amazing. Never seen anything like it.

Jamming or disruption devices have been something I was thinking about for Google Glass and how potentially lucrative it could be if it took off. I do understand there was a hack put together recently for google glass, which might handle transmission during receipt or keep it off the wifi, but not sure it would prevent record and future upload.

Although I will say I don't necessarily think there is any 'true' privacy left, just thought it would be a potentially lucrative path.

Great video, but wish it weren't so heavily and choppily edited. Would love to see the raw footage.
