The demolition of the Harmon Hotel at CityCenter is in high gear.

Harmon

The entire curtain wall of the western side of the building had been removed, and holes have begun popping up on the eastern side as well.

VT tipster JayZ sent us this photo of the status as of this morning. Zooming in reveals that the support frames that were holding the window panes to the concrete structure have been removed as well.

And Mac found this:

If construction wasn't botched, it is entirely possible that Harmon's Strip facing rooms may have had some of the best views in all of Las Vegas.

Comments & Discussion:

Cosmos' city center views are going to go up in value though... Except for the Aria sign...

Any word on whether theyre gonna implode it?

There will not be an implosion. It is too close to other buildings. The Harmon will be taken down piece by piece.

How long will it take for them to deconstruct it this way? And where is all the glass going to end up?

According to the Las Vegas Sun the take down is going to take a year to complete.
