Downtown Grand Reshuffles Executive Deck

Having most of its blood spilled into a sea of desperation, Downtown Grand has brought in a Chex mix of seasoned executives to help right the listing ship.

In: Marie Ramsey CFO, formerly VP/CFO at Tropicana, VP Finance at MGM Grand.

In: Jeffrey Rabinovitz, Financial Analyst, formerly Financial Analyst at Maryland Live! Casino, and Nestle Purina where he "developed recommendations for increased penetration and increased volume for Fancy Feast and Friskies Brands." He's in charge of the players club now.

In: Ken Mumby Director of Table Games, formerly VP of Casino Operations at Planet Hollywood... he's been in the biz for almost 40 years.

In: Tony Bender Director of Casino Marketing, formerly VP of Marketing & Advertising at Riviera.

CEO Seth Schorr still has a job.

Interesting to note that only Ramsey's move was a career promotion, the others were lateral, or downgrades from previous titles. Read into that what you will.

If these changes don't have immediate affect, expect the head of Seth Schorr by Valentines Day.

Comments & Discussion:

At least I have someone to call now if I need recommendations for increased penetration.

I'm not visiting unless they get the guy who wrote the Meow Mix jingle.

I hope the changes work. I think I speak for most/all of us, when I say no one wants to see a casino fail.

This better help. The place looks too good to fail.

The Purina angle might sound silly, but think about it: no one in Vegas is exploiting the cat demographic. They could put scratching posts and litter boxes in every room. A laser pointer room. A catnip Lounge. And you know cats are going to love routlette.
